The short version

Reddie is a tool that helps you find customers and track brand mentions on Reddit. You're responsible for what you post through Reddie and for following Reddit's rules. Reddie is in free public beta, which means we may change features and we offer no guarantees of uptime. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service. Don't use Reddie to spam, harass, or break the law.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Reddie account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Reddie.

2. Who can use Reddie

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if you're in the EU or UK) to use Reddie. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate. If you're using Reddie on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

3. Your account

4. Reddit accounts and OAuth

Reddie connects to your Reddit account via Reddit's official OAuth flow. By connecting an account, you authorize Reddie to read and (when you trigger it) post content on Reddit on your behalf, within the scopes you grant. You can revoke this access at any time from your Reddit app preferences.

You agree to comply with Reddit's User Agreement, Content Policy, and the rules of any subreddit you participate in. Reddie does not exempt you from any of those rules. If Reddit suspends or bans your account because of how you used Reddie, that's between you and Reddit.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Reddie to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

6. Beta service

Reddie is currently in free public beta. That means:

7. Pricing and payment

Reddie is free to use during the public beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and you'll have the option to continue on a paid plan or stop using the service. Early beta users may be eligible for discounted lifetime pricing — any such offer will be communicated separately at the time paid plans launch.

8. Intellectual property

Our content

The Reddie service, including its software, branding, design, and original content (such as blog posts and marketing copy), is owned by Reddie and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose, subject to these terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you create through Reddie, including the posts and comments you publish to Reddit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service.

Reddit content

Reddit posts and comments surfaced through Reddie remain the intellectual property of their original authors and are subject to Reddit's terms. We display this content under Reddit's API terms.

9. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about Reddie, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you. You don't have to send feedback, but if you do, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to act on it.

10. Termination

You may stop using Reddie and delete your account at any time by emailing info@reddie.app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your access ends and we delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

Reddie is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that:

You use Reddie at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reddie and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Reddie is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Reddie and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or any third-party rights.

14. Third-party services

Reddie integrates with third-party services such as Reddit and our email provider Resend. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or actions taken by third-party providers.

15. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update Reddie's features and these terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use of Reddie after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Reddie agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California for any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
